From Arcade volume 1, number 5 (Spring 1976), here’s a comic two-page comic by the incomparable M. K. Brown:

I went looking for a book collection of M. K. Brown’s comics to light up my life, but I couldn’t find one. My conclusion: this is not the best of all possible worlds.
M. K. Brown my personal high spot in each new copy of National Lampoon magazine, back in the 70s. First thing I’d look for in each copy. Whenever there wasn’t I felt cheated. The art was so eerie, so detailed yet imprecise, and so evocative of blurred dreams and jumbled memories. I remember many of them to this day, even now in my 60s, and I was 19 when “Whistle Stop” was new! (And how prescient of Brown to envision Donald Trump on the stump!)
