I hope it’s a good purchase. Your blog introduced me to quite a bit I wouldn’t have heard of otherwise- the Alex Toth book for instance, or Hilda Terry and her Strange Bod Fellows. It’s probably a bit of a 180 from the subject of your post, but I’d love to see any other Teena strips you may have.

Well, it’s important to keep in mind that what I’ve posted isn’t a review. I have no better idea than you do if The Art of Howard Chaykin will be worth purchasing. All I do know is that Chaykin has produced enough excellent artwork that an excellent art book is possible and enough weak artwork that the exact opposite is also possible. Selection will be everything. So look before you leap!
BTW, Tim, it really does warm my heart that someone out there wants to see more Teena strips. I’ll see what I can do. 😉
